Dan finished in 15th position following a disapointing start to the race. Problems with fuelling off the startline meant Dan needed to work hard to make his way through the field. His best laptime was a 51.63. Sunday's race suffered more of the same but with an improvement to 12th at the finish line and a best lap of 50.67 Click here for the official race report
Pembrey
Dan took an impressive 5th position in timed qualifying on saturday morning in adverse weather conditions, unfortunately the terrible weather meant racing was postponed until the following day. The decision was taken to split the race distance into two separate races. A disatrous start made for hard work in race one, despite posting a 1.01 best lap Dan finished in 22nd position. However race two ended with a respectable 8th position. Click here for the official race report
Snetterton
The Norfolk circuit also presented some unpleasant weather conditions for qualifying, saturdays race saw Dan with another top 10 finish. Sadly any further improvement was certailed by a red flag after only 5 laps. Sunday's race ended with Dan in a disappointing 13th position. Click here for the official race report

Thruxton
This was Team Deege's first time at Britain's fastest circuit, motorcycle racing is only permitted on three weekends a year here with no testing available at any other time! Dan was pleased to be on a good pace from the off despite never having ridden the track before, timed qualifying on saturday morning placed Dan 12th on the grid. The final race result saw Dan in a respectable 11th place. For extra tracktime Dan, along with several others in the regular 250GP field, entered the open 400 race which proved to be a great success. Dan enjoyed a 6th and 3rd place respectively in the two 400 races from the back of the grid. Click here for the official race report
Pembrey
Back to Pembrey again for the second time in 2009. Saturday's racing took place in pleasant sunny conditions following a night of heavy winds and rain, Dan produced another top 10 finish in the 250GP race and 6th in the open 400, again from a very distant grid position. Sunday however saw a return to the heavy rain with intervals of bright sunshine, early warm-up was red flagged due to flooding after only minutes. When race time arrived it was declared a wet race but quickly produced a prominent dry line destroying tyres throughout the field. Race distance was cut down to 18 laps and Dan brought it home in 8th position. By the time Sunday's open 400 final took place the track was dry, Dan pushed through to capture another strong podium finish in 2nd place. Click here for the official race report
Anglesey
A good weekend for Team Deege on our first visit to Britain's newest track, securing a win in the open 400 class and being presented with the Dunlop Performance of the Day award in the 250 class. Following yet another pre-race night of gale force winds and heavy rain saturday's racing was delayed until it was deemed safe to proceed by the circuit and club officials. Dan qualified in 19th position in very patchy conditions, the subsequent race was cut down to 13 laps seeing Dan make his way up to a 13th place finish. The 400 race made hard work with a poor designated grid position, however good progress resulted in a healthy 8th place finish. Sunday's 20 lap 250 race saw Dan finish in 14th position amoungst the strongest grid of 250s we've seen all year with over 40 riders. The highlight of the weekend came in the open 400 race. Dan made the most of the short 6 laps to come from way back on the grid and secure the win. An impressive pass on Tony Davies, the championship leader, on the tightest part of the circuit meant he rounded the last left-hander in first place to take the chequered flag.Click here for the official race report
Oulton
With only a single days racing and the overall 250 Championship still to be decided, Oulton was set to be an exciting meeting. Dan had also entered the Open 400 class hoping to build on his recent success. Following a pleasant and dry test day, Saturday looked set for more of the same. Dan took his place, once more in the back quarter of the grid, for the start of the 400 qualifyer. Making good progress Dan made his way to through the field and into the lead on his way to another victory. However, the red flags came out and the grid was reformed. To the disappointment of all the 250s they were placed back in their original positions so it was all to do again. After the restart and a short dash to the chequered flag Dan had to settle for 2nd place – at least this secured a good grid for the final. The start of the 250 race was complete with a full grid of GP bikes, brolly girls and photographers, as the grid was cleared the first drops of rain were felt. Following a mad rush to change wheels and reform on the grid the race was on. Dan made excellent progress in the now very tricky half wet, half dry conditions and finished the National Championship race in a strong 7th position and ending the season 8th in the Championship overall. The final Open 400 race saw Dan take the lead early on and enjoy a battle with NG Cup Championship winner Dave Hampton. The race ended with another 2nd place result for Dan.Click here for the official race report
New Era, Pembrey
With the bike finally working well and Dan feeling in good form, it was decided Team Deege would make another journey to South Wales and enter a round with New Era to extend the season further. Unusually, the weather was kind and track conditions good, however due to a mixed field of machines the race traffic was heavy making hard work for Dan to reach the front. However, the weekend was a great success with Dan securing SIX WINS and being awarded "Man of the Meeting" by the club officials. An excellent way to end the season.
